where to eat and what to do in early May?

My family will be travelling to Acadia NP for 2-3 days early May. I found trenton bridge lobster pound and jordan pond are both not open yet. Any suggestions for fresh lobster that is not too expensive? I am with my 55-60 year old parents. It%26#39;s hard for them to hike, so I am thinking of going for a sunset cruise or sth. like that. Any suggestions for activities suitable for them? Thanks a lot!

As of now, you can get a great lobster dinner at Galyn%26#39;s on Main Street in Bar Harbor. You can also get lobster at Geddy%26#39;s right next door. Geddy%26#39;s is a little louder and more casual than Galyn%26#39;s - depending on what kind of dining experience you%26#39;re in the mood for.

For lunch, consider the Thirsty Whale for a lobster roll.

I%26#39;m not sure what cruises will be operating in early May. If available, I would suggest the Acadia Nature Cruise. It%26#39;s a two and a half hour ride up the coast out to Egg Rock Lighthouse where there are seals and often eagles. If that%26#39;s not available, check out LuLu%26#39;s Lobster Boat for another really great trip.

You can drive the Park Loop Road, stopping often to get out of the car and enjoy the view. Yesterday, my husband and I biked around the loop road and there was construction going on at Jordan Pond House so you may or may not want to stop there on this trip. If you do, park at either the North or South parking lot and walk down to the pond. You can walk a little around the pond (it%26#39;s three miles if you go all the way around and there is a little bit of rock scampering on one end).
