Whalewatching

Greetings from Denmark,

My wife and I will spent 3 weeks from end September to mid October in New England. We will drive from Boston up along the coast and have booked overnight stays in Portland and Camden.

There seems to be several ';oustanding'; whalewatch companies along the coast- but which one to chose.

Did any of you tried this and can recommend a good experience?

Kind regards from Jesper

Whatever you do, if you will be going out near Kennebunk, make sure Bush isn%26#39;t vistiting the family vacation home at Walker Point. There tends to be submarine activity when he is in town, which drives the whales out to deep water (sonar). I used First Chance Whale Watches and I thought the captian of the boat made a great effort to show us a whale. He extended our cruise by about 20 minutes because we hadn%26#39;t seen a whale (due to the president being in town) and he was notified there was one near. Although I%26#39;m sure it made the next cruise mad he was late, I paid a good amount of money and I am glad I got to see a sleeping whale.
