We usually stay in hotels but thought it might be fun to stay in a B%26amp;B or Inn while in Bar Harbor. I%26#39;ve done a lot of research and think I%26#39;ve narrowed down to two that fit our price range and can accommodate 3 adults. Do you all have any opinions on either Primrose Inn or Manor House Inn that will help me decide. Since we haven%26#39;t done B%26amp;Bs, I%26#39;m still a little reluctant but both look lovely and get nice reviews. Manor House is a little more expensive. Thanks for any input
Trying to decide on where to stay in Bar Harbor
Both the Primrose and Manor House are wonderful B%26amp;B%26#39;s with great innkeepers. You can%26#39;t go wrong in choosing either.
The Manor House is closer to the downtown Harbor area of town than the Primrose Inn, but the Primrose is closer to the far end of town where most of the nicer restaurants are. Either one isn%26#39;t more than 3-4 blocks from most activities, shops, and restaurant.
Are you sure both will fit three adults in one room? I would call and verify that before you make any online reservations.
Trying to decide on where to stay in Bar Harbor
Thanks for your reply. Both of these places do have rooms/suites to accommodate three adults. Manor House actually has several options while Primrose has one. Looks like I%26#39;d be ok with either and that%26#39;s good to know. Looking forward to lovingbarharbor : )
Last year we stayed at the Primrose and it was absolutely wonderful. For the price you can%26#39;t go wrong. Their breakfast and mid-day snack is out of this world.
Thank you soccerref. Just yesterday, I booked Manor House but I appreciate your input. It%26#39;s nice to know both are indeed nice places to stay.
We visited Pittsburgh on our last trip east in Sept 07 and we loved it! Had dinner at the top of the incline, went to Phipps Conservatory, took the river boat ride and had a Primanti Bros sandwich (yum!) The view coming out of the tunnel with the city in front of you is awesome! Great time and great city (and this from a Cowboys fan :)
