Hi..we are a family of 5 (3 kids 8,7 and 5) looking for a ';family friendly'; hotel/resort in Bar Harbor. Looking for a nice-sized room or suite and a pool (indoor and outdoor would be great). Close to downtown. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks!
Family hotel in Bar Harbor (June 27 - July 1st)
I would suggest the Bar Harbor Motel. It%26#39;s family owned and operated. Great people and good location. They don%26#39;t serve breakfast, but there are lots of breakfast options at that time of year (jeanne%26#39;s, cafe this way, and jordans to name a few). It%26#39;s a bit far to walk into town (a mile or so).
Right in town is the Harborside Hotel. It%26#39;s on the water so it%26#39;s pretty expensive, but they have a nice pool. You can walk to everything from there.
Bar Harbor Inn is also right in town and on the water.
I don%26#39;t think they have a pool.
Atlantic Oakes is outside of town (about 1 mile) and they have a pool, and are on the water. Also the Bayview has a pool. Right next to Atlantic Oakes.
