Midway Motel

I am planning our summer vacation to Ogunquit/Wells in July. we want to rent a cottage for a week, but hope to arrive a few days before that to be by the ocean. I have looked into motels in the area, and am interested in Midway Motel. Anyone stayed there? Their rates seem quite reasonable compared to others.

Rates are reasonable but the motel is a bit far from the main beaches. Suggest that you use the trolley - parking lot is full at 10:00 AM.

The great thing about Ogunquit is the ability to walk to the Beach or walk into town. I don%26#39;t think you can walk to either from the Midway Motel. You probably would want to try to find something further south on Route 1. Otherwise you will depend upon the trolley schedule because driving around is not really a good option.

I realize it is not that close to the beach – we dont mind driving. I was mainly interested in whether the motel was decent, clean etc. Some of the motels are $200 a night! which is way too much for us.

We have been there (Midway) few years ago and it was clean and comfortable. You say that you don%26#39;t mind using your car but it is important to consider that daily traffic jams can become frustrating. Anyways, you will love Ogunquit!

thanks marguerite39. I tried to check out reviews of motels in the area and some have really bad ones along with good ones, so I%26#39;m never sure which ones to believe!
